Take Care of Yourself

Take Care of Yourself

March 29, 2017

I’ve been working and exercising and taking better care of myself lately. I had to change a lot of things in my life to do that. We all know what we “should” be doing, right? But, really, actually doing those things is hard. I set a schedule (I call it time blocking) to get various chores and projects done. I try really hard to stick to my schedule and work from a place of order. The best thing I have done is to work with a coach who helps me stay on track. Really, she’s a friend who calls me to make sure I got “this and that” done. It usually works unless my time gets hi-jacked by an emergency!

With my exercise, I have another friend who I can call and ask to join me at the gym, or go for a bike ride with me. I really love to do both those things, but just getting the get-up-and-go to actually go to the gym is hard. Once I’m there, I love it! Some of my friends hire a trainer to keep them on track and reach the physical goals they have set for themselves. They make appointments and once they have that then they have the accountability to show up. It works for them!

It can work that way with your financial goals as well. We all have wishes and dreams of financial peace. Savings for that special vacation, money for home projects and repairs, a new car or the kitchen remodel…and then there is retirement! Why work so hard if not for a secure and fun retirement possibly in the south where it’s warm all year round? Working with an advisor who can meet with you as you are reaching for those goals, will help you stick to the plan.

Can I be of help to you? Let’s meet and talk about how you can help pursue your goals!
