
Michael E. Rawlings

Michael Rawlings is registered as a General Securities Representative, Series 7, 66 and 65 with LPL Financial and is appointed in Resident Major Lines; Accident & Health, Life and Variable insurance products. Mr. Rawlings has been active in the savings & loan, community banking and investment industries since 1985 and has enjoyed a unique background in the Arts.
Michael pursued his Doctoral studies in Music Theory and Composition in 1982-1985, at the College Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati, which represents the culmination of a career that includes such artistic recognitions as: The Hubble Scholarship from ASCAP, 1980, honorable mentions from the nationally recognized orchestral competition, The Sigvald Thompson Award, 1976, and The International Trombone Association, 1974. Original compositions from a library of 50 chamber and orchestral works include three full length symphonies and many of his compositions have been performed around the nation. He holds BA and MMA degrees from Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana, and pursued Doctoral studies in Music Theory and Composition at The College Conservatory of Music, CCM, University of Cincinnati, from 1982 to 1985.
From 1986 to 2000, Mr. Rawlings was active as Vice President in Mortgage Servicing and Commercial Lending for a Cincinnati based savings and loan association. His investment practice began in 2000 in association with Morgan Stanley. During his association with Morgan Stanley, Mr. Rawlings secured advisor certifications and was awarded Morgan Stanley's prestigious National Director's Award in 2001, 2002 and 2003. He established a successful independent investment and retirement planning practice in 2005 under the auspices of LPL Financial.
In 2014, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 Mr. Rawlings was named as one of Cincinnati's Five-Star Wealth Managers*, an honor given to less than five percent of all wealth advisors. Michael brings experience from the Cincinnati business community as a former committee member of the Business Retention Committee and the Ambassador’s Committee of the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, as an Associate Member over many years of the Tri-State League of Financial Institutions, from serving on the small business lending committee of the Community Development Corporation of Cincinnati and his involvement in local Kiwanis and Exchange Clubs. As managing partner of Viceroy Wealth Counsel, Michael utilizes asset allocation modeling and serves in an advisory capacity for company retirement plans and in support of individual investment strategy.
